P193H – Canadian Rocky Mountains – Alberta, Canada
I was returning from another photo location early one morning which didn’t turn out as expected when I came across this scene. The lake was covered in fog to the point you could barely view the distant mountains. It was just off a major highway so parking was the challenge. I had passed the only parking area so I had to find a place to turn around. Unfortunately the exits on this highway are few and far apart and I was sure I would miss the fog on the lake by the time I circled back. To my surprise the early morning sun had still not hit the lake. I quickly found and composed a shot and then waited just a bit longer for the mountains in the background to display themselves a little clearer. I took three or four images but I liked this one best for the balance of fog. By then the fog on the lake was also clearer and therefore I was able to obtain a nice reflection.
