P241H – Dead Vlei at Last Light – Namibia, Africa

This is one of my favorite photographs. The light in this image as the sun was setting is extraordinary. It's especially amazing when printed very large as the pattern of the hard dried clay floor, the aged bark on the trees and the small bushes within the sand dunes become apparent. There's even a hint of the whirling dust cloud that was occurring way in the distance in the center of the photo.
